In honor of America’s 250th year, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage carried the theme One Nation Under God. One Nation Under God is not a slogan—it’s an invitation to realign our lives, communities, and country under the sovereignty of Christ. It’s a call to build unity through prayer, and to let Jesus, present in the Eucharist, renew and heal the heart of our country, one soul at a time. As pilgrims on this route, we walk with Christ so that His love might draw our nation back to Him. You’re invited to join us, in person or in spirit, and offer prayers and sacrifices for the renewal of America.

God is moving powerfully. As the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage officially concludes this 4th of July weekend, we look forward to the powerful moments and final graces of this pilgrimage, and thank God ahead of time for the fruit he will continue to grow from this season of walking with him. 

Over the last several weeks, we've reflected on our lives as pilgrims — not only in the literal sense of walking the Cabrini Route with the Perpetual Pilgrims, but also in the spiritual sense of our pilgrim journey toward Heaven. We've seen God move powerfully along the streets we've processed, and trust in the powerful ways he will move in the hearts of those who intentionally embrace pilgrimage in their own spiritual lives.  As we prepare to conclude this season of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary in prayer and worship, we invite you to, once again, set your sights on the journey Jesus is inviting you to walk. Stay close to him. Follow him. And seek eternity with him.

A Movement Taking Root

The pilgrimage began at Pentecost in St. Augustine, Florida, where the first Mass in our country was celebrated at the Our Lady of La Leche Shrine at Mission de Nombres. The route continued up the Eastern Seaboard through most of the 13 original colonies, reaching as far north as New Hampshire and Maine. Stopped in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, our country’s very first Catholic diocese, as well as the Archdiocese of Boston to visit significant national historical sites. The pilgrimage concludes over the 4th of July weekend in Philadelphia, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

1. Eucharistic Encounter: In order to lead people to a relationship with Jesus in the Eucharist, we have to maintain an active relationship with him ourselves. This pillar focuses on deepening that personal relationship through prayer, adoration, and the sacraments. Regular, profound encounters with Jesus strengthen us to be a more authentic and powerful witness to his love.
2. Eucharistic Identity (click link for more): To truly live out our mission as Catholics, we must first embrace our identity as beloved children of the Father, shaped by our relationship with Christ in the Eucharist. This pillar emphasizes the importance of internalizing and living out the teachings and love of Jesus, allowing our Eucharistic encounters to define who we are. Through these encounters, our hearts and minds are transformed, guiding us to reflect Christ’s love in every aspect of our lives.
3. Eucharistic Life (click link for more) : This pillar encourages us to integrate our love for Christ into every aspect of our lives, transforming daily actions into continuous acts of worship and service. As we love Christ more, our lives become configured to his, reflecting his sacrificial love. When we live a Eucharistic life, we join in Christ’s self-offering, allowing his love to flow through us to others.
4. Eucharistic Mission: This pillar is a call to evangelize—boldly spreading the Good News of Christ’s Eucharistic love and mercy in word and deed. As our love for Christ deepens, our lives will become increasingly configured to his mission, compelling us to serve others with his heart. We will be drawn to compassionate service, living our call to be his hands and feet to our neighbors and bring his presence to the margins.
   

We start by Walking With One. Yes, we are all called to evangelize! At our baptism, we were given a three-fold mission - to be priest (not ministerial per se), prophet & king. So let us take what we've learned, along with that which God wrote on our hearts, and after praying on it, evangelize the one God has pointed us to.

The Eucharistic Congress concluded, but our work has just begun--now go forth and spread the Gospel message and draw all to Christ in the Eucharist!!
